How Did Galentine’s Day Come to life?
Invented by Leslie Knope, a loveable fictional deputy director of Parks and Recreation in Pawnee, Indiana, Galentine’s Day became a worldwide phenomenon. For Leslie, celebrating female friendships with close friends and colleagues was a favourite Valentine’s Day tradition. This included waffle brunch and excessive gift-giving. Just like Friendsgiving, Galentine’s Day is an opportunity to recognize our friends’ steadfast loyalty, love, and laughter as a source of pride and happiness.

How Do I Celebrate Galentine’s Day?
There are no rules or right way to celebrate Galentine’s Day! No rules say you should do anything but honour yourself and your friends! Many people, however, choose to honour Leslie Knope by hosting a brunch with waffles and cocktails.
