Peanut Butter Protein Pancakes – Pancake Day Recipe

As we approach Shrove Tuesday the plan of the day is clear. Stuff our faces with pancakes of all flavours and sizes. But for those who are obsessed with gains, we have an amazing recipe that’s as nutritious as it is indulging. These pancakes will give you a boost of healthy fats and most importantly, proteins. Step 1

Heat a non-stick pan over medium-high heat and lightly coat it with vegetable oil. Add 2 cups of Bisquick mix, 1 1/4 cups milk, 1/2 cup of Reese’s peanut butter, 2 eggs and 2 tbsp of sugar to a bowl. Mix it with a whisk. Add an additional 1 to 2 tablespoons of milk if the batter is too thick.

Step 2

Place 1/4 cup batter on a hot griddle and cook for 1 to 2 minutes (or until the edges begin to dry and bubbles form on top). Then, flip it and let the other side cook until it’s golden brown.

Step 3

Add the remaining peanut butter into a cup and microwave for 20-30 seconds. Drizzle it on top of the pancakes. Add toppings of your choice (cereal, bananas, & chocolate pieces work wonders). Drizzle some syrup of your choice on top and start digging in!
