Brand

Dr Pepper

Created in Texas in 1885, Dr Pepper is the oldest major soft drink brand in America. How cool is that?! The original recipe was created by Charles Alderton, a pharmacist in a Texas Drug Store. He gave the formula to Wade Morrison, the owner of the store, who named it 'Dr. Pepper'. As a matter of fact, the reasoning behind the name has been widely discussed for decades. Some think it got its name because it was common practice at the time to add 'Dr' to a name to make it sound healthy. With this in mind, it makes sense, as early advertisements for the drink did make medical claims. They stated that the drink aided digestion among other things. Whatever the reason behind the name, it's no secret that Dr Pepper tastes amazing! (Although the ingredients that go into the delicious flavour ARE a secret!). Why not try one of the great Dr Pepper drinks today?!
