Airheads: A Sweet Journey from Kentucky to Global Delight
Originating in the 1980s courtesy of Perfetti Van Melle, Airheads have blossomed into an internationally renowned American confectionery adored by people of all ages. Born in Kentucky, this vibrant candy brand has transcended its geographical roots to become a beloved treat cherished across the globe.
Tangy and possessing a delightful taffy-like consistency, Airheads are crafted using a technique reminiscent of molding Play-Doh. This process involves shaping and squishing the candy before it's expertly fashioned into the bars, bites, and gummies that have become iconic in the candy world. This unique production method not only contributes to the candy's distinctive texture but also adds to its playful charm.
The sheer variety of flavors Airheads offer is staggering. From the classic trio of strawberry, orange, and grape, which have secured their place as timeless favorites, to the more innovative and daring options like birthday cake, cotton candy, and fruit punch. For those seeking a bit of mystery, Airheads even present a couple of enigmatic flavors, promising an element of surprise in every bite.

This visual appeal, coupled with the delightful taste and texture, creates a truly engaging sensory experience that sets Airheads apart. This brand is also assessable on World Foods Wholesales.
In addition to their individual candies, Airheads have also become synonymous with creative recipes and imaginative food creations. From using them as toppings on cupcakes to incorporating them into colorful dessert platters, these candies have inspired a whole realm of culinary experimentation. Their chewy, stretchy nature makes them versatile ingredients that add both flavor and a fun element to various treats.

Kool-Aid was invented by Edwin Perkins in his mother's kitchen! He actually began with a liquid concentrate called Fruit Smack. However, to reduce shipping costs he found a way to remove the liquid. By doing this, he left a powder behind that was much lighter. He named this powder Kool-Aid.
It was an instant hit! Soon, Perkins was able to move his production from Hastings, Nebraska to Chicago in 1931. Then, in 1953 it was sold to General Foods. However, Hastings still celebrates a yearly festival to honour their city's claim to fame. In fact, the drink is actually known as Nebraska's official soft drink!
So, grab a tub or two of this delicious, fruity drink! Go on, you know you want to!
Originally known as Mars Men, the Sour Patch Kids were created by Frank Galatolie in the early 1970s for Jaret International. During the late 1970s, Cadbury and Smeera Blyton Licorice Company of Sweden formed the Allen Candy Company in Hamilton, Ontario, to produce them. During the 1985 redesign, they became Sour Patch Kids, which is now owned by Santi. This name change may have been motivated by Cabbage Patch Kids' popularity.
They are sweet and sour, just as advertised. There are most candies that only challenge one aspect of the tongue; however, Sour Patch Kids challenge two of those aspects, primarily sweet and sour. In science terms, this makes Sour Patch Kids more advanced than any other candy.
