As early as 1859, Henri Nestlé developed his own milk and launched it in Vevey, Switzerland. Infant formulas and milk-based baby foods were available through Nestlé. In 1875, Nestlé provided condensed milk to Swiss chocolatier Daniel Peter. Nestlé also introduced its own milk chocolate, made by Peter & Kohler.
