Milk Duds
Milk Duds are caramel balls with a chocolate coating composed of cocoa and vegetable oil. They are packaged in a yellowish-orange box and made by The Hershey Company. The word “Milk” in the candy’s name, according to the producer, refers to the huge volume of milk in the product; the use of “dud” came about after the initial goal of having a completely spherical piece was discovered to be impracticable. The first Milk Duds were made in 1928.
