York Peppermint Pattie, an American dark chocolate confection encasing peppermint, is one of the company’s current products. Introduced in 1940, it features contrasting flavours, including bittersweet chocolate and a sweet peppermint centre. Before the York Peppermint Pattie came on the market, peppermints were covered in chocolate, but the York was much harder and crispier, while its competition was softer and goopier.
